Nettle

Nettle syrup

Posted on July 31, 2021 by Cindy

Nettle syrup is SO delicious that you just want to drink cold drinks. For a teetotaler this is a nice change in hot sweaty summer days

Nettle leaf powder

Posted on July 24, 2021 by Cindy

I seek for plant parts with which I can dye and where I can make delicious recipes with. Nettle, the weed we all know, is one of them.

My latest pouch is finished. She's got no name yet and is not to be found in the shop as of now. The weather is so gorgeous that I am outside most of the day. The new pouch has a lot of resemblance with today's reality: colorful, optimistic, bright but not summery and different, as usual. Slowly but surely the summer becomes the autumn. Stitching and knitting into the season where wind and rain make their entrance, it will be difficult for me to catch sunlight early morning. I will do my utter best to catch colours and bright tones nevertheless, if only in my embroidery. Always looking for beauty and often seeing it in the smallest of things. But to be honest, here I listen to the shutter going, so I know when to pose 'naturally'. What is more colorful: the embroidery or the breakfast? After the sweltering days of this summer, where I was pushed into walls, to sit out the worst of heat, something my menopausal me was happy to do, this came forth from it. Shoreline Gleaner
