New post and an announcement

Dear reader,

A new post with the title ‘Shift into gear 50’ is published. It’s about the challenge of running a home base with all it’s conscious habits and the pull towards new lands and unforeseen happenings. It is strongly connected to menopause, in my opinion. When you are curious, it’s a short read with lots of Hungarian forest images (link below).

Two, almost three, obvious miscalculations were made in this years outdoor challenge. Did they have to do with my age? I'd say so...

Very recently I met with a friend who is cycling 13 years by now. She makes podcasts, engaging videos and superb photographs. She decided to make some with me in the starring role. Without knowing how to look, talk or simply act, I think the results are great. The video is only to see at cyclingcindy. Her own podcasts can be listened to ‘Heike and Butch’

A few pouches have been added to the shop and you might want to check out the details of each one. At the moment quite a few have been purchased, so if you see something you love, give me a shout/donation and I keep it seperate for you.

Although I am away for some time, you are welcome to order any pouch that I will set aside for you. I can not send it until I am back home. A walk through Andalusia awaits me, and my husband and me have no fixed plan so I can not say when I am back to send out.

Sending has become an issue of creativity in itself: the package may not be too thick or it will fall into a more expensive category. I am keeping costs as low as I can – even cycling 28 kilometer to and from the post office – but I see myself forced to raise prices in general as the time and effort I spend on each pouch is never in comparison with the price I ask. Not even now. Slow stitching is something that doesn’t fit in the lifestyle that we are living, no price tag can be pinned to a pouch but prices ranging from € 20 to € 40 will be a thing of the past. I am sorry guys, but I am sure you understand. My hand dyed and handmade pouches are unique and very time absorbing. It is a hobby, indeed, and a very contemplative one that serves me positively. And if you like it, please share that joy with me.
