A new start. Hemp cotton dyed with dandelion flowers. A drawing in the style of North indian style. It will feature mirrors from India that will be attached using my mom's, almost antique by now, wooden embroidery hoop. Pouch Ted & Tina is finished. Embroidered in phulkari, a stitch originating from the Punjab in India/Pakistan. Colors are inspired by Rajasthan influences. The fabric is dyed with mulberry and the silk lining with grapes. I am, once again, very content with the outcome. What do you think? And here I am at the finish of another pouch. It will be called Ted & Tina. Do you have an idea why I call it this (Maryse may not answer this) 😘 I need to unburden myself! My new friend. 'Our cat V her spot at the window'. Most unfortunately our cat is no longer and her loss brought forth this new creation. This new embroidery project took a year to complete and is done so in a stitch that originates from India/Pakistan. It is a very time consuming stitch and one that I started to love.
