Meaningful. A positive effect. Balance. Sustainability. These few words floated through my mind when I was cycling in India, in 2014. I had come from Oman by plane, landed in Cochin and moved on my own power towards the Himalaya. Cycling in India as a woman on your own in summer is hard. Time enough … Continue reading The Start

My new friend. 'Our cat V her spot at the window'. Most unfortunately our cat is no longer and her loss brought forth this new creation. This new embroidery project took a year to complete and is done so in a stitch that originates from India/Pakistan. It is a very time consuming stitch and one that I started to love. Here is a new, big, bright and little useful creation, unless you have a cat! #phulkari #embroiderylove #stitchstories #naaldendraad #nadelkünstler #needleandthread #featherstitch #stitchingmakesmehappy #creatingbeauty #borduurwerk #creativespace #kreativ #kreatif #dyedwithnature #natuurkleuren #womencreate What do you see in this picture. I'm not talking about the food (serious amounts of cilantro and two soup recipes from #noorishbynoor combined). Talking about 'combined', twice is a combination visible in this picture. Can you see it? Only the one who follows me for some time can see it. There is always a reason to bury your food with coriander. Today's reason was to celebrate the last Brussel sprouts of the season. With our own grown pumpkin seeds, mind you. This project will be called 'V'tje her spot at the window'. V was the name of our late cat, the single most being, other than Geo, that I miss on a daily basis. The weather is bad for the 6th day. So what do I do? Embroidering a bit extra and lots of sauna with my ♡. Can't wait for this larger piece of fabric to be finished.

CINDY NEEDLEART in a nutshell

Beautifying fabrics born of a desire to be creative while traveling.

The beautified fabric becoming a pouch.

A pouch can be as well an artful creation and yet keeping its practicality.
