How do you unwind after a demanding day? If I baked something I'll have that beside a tea and start either embroidering or knitting, depending on what is most pulling my attention. This is also the best start of a day, with cookies if I am out camping.

The teabags I carry hold sayings: ‘When was the last time you were proud of yourself?’, ‘When was the last time you challenged yourself?’, ‘What gives you energy?’, ‘What is a good characteristic of yours?’ and ‘Are you a dreamer, thinker or doer?’ To each saying I give clear answers. I learn a short trip does not necessarily have to be a success in order to be a success.

The places to be creative are best when outside, even when the cold starts to set in (but a fire is a must!)

The beauty of growing (part of) your own food is more than just healthy, it is beauty to the eye and rapture to the senses. It is hard work too. A visual reconnection with traveling the world because food is life.

Being out is a necessity: to absorb and observe the blooming and aliveness.

Nature is slow, and so am I
Nature is soothing, therefore traveling is an excellent escape. Together the two make for good creativity. And embroidery is small to pack, handy to take along and satisfying to work on.
