Another new pouch, embroidered in phulkari stitch from North India, or… how I interpret this stitch. Dyed with mulberry from the forest and grapes from our own garden. The grape juice was used to make vinegar. It looks not very appetizing, but the result is already finished.

The fabric was first mordanted with oak galls.

But, vinegar and oak galls isn’t so interesting perhaps. Ted & Tina, what is that about? Well, it’s about house sitting cats and dogs and what came forth from it.

This is one of the more detailed and time consuming designs. One that I actually took time out to draw and copy onto the fabric. The stitches are short and plentiful and when hold at an angle the shine changes since I used different directions to embroider in. I am very content with the result (and so is my husband). What do you think?
From now on I don’t send to the USA any longer. Pouch Ted & Tina (or Tina & Ted) is out to be send anywhere within Europe. Here’s the story behind the pouch and here is to the shop page.
