Shisha mirror application

Back in the days, incorporating the wings of beetles was a variation of using tiny glass mirrors. When I gleefully started my project, I thought I was original. Then, just now, I went through my own writings about shisha mirror art and concluded I did nothing new.

Well, it makes all sense. Using nature goes further than coloring with plants. Here is the Story behind ‘Winged Reflection’.

  1. Thanks for this wonderful article! The artistry and attention to detail on mirror work fabric is amazing. I imagine so much patience is needed to piece it all together. I really enjoy your photos too to accompany the reading! Such vibrancy and colour! X

    1. Hi Anna, I suppose you red the post about the mirror applications because there are all the sorts of photos you describe. Yeah, I wish I would have found a teacher in India to learn many more techniques instead of going from 1 temple to the next 😅😉
