With a ‘Story behind the Pouch’

Phulkari is a Punjabi stitch that I just now discovered. I am eager to find out more about the stitch.
Measurement: 24 x 15 centimeters/9.5 x 5.9 inch.
The beads are made from wood (given to me by my niece and might be a bit older).
Yarn: DMC cotton. The drawstring is cotton as well.
hand dyed with
muellin leaf
Muellin has quite some health benefits. It relieves pain, calms and strengthens the nerves, digestive and urinary system and is beneficial for the respiratory system. It grows in my garden.
Fabric: the embroidered fabric is hemp cotton and hand dyed with muellin leaves. The inside is new (synthetic) fabric.
Care: the cotton is prepared in such a way that it keeps the color when you hand-wash the pouch. Do not dry it in direct sunlight, as sunlight always fades colors.
